  • Teaching opportunity in Japan!  The City of Sioux City is looking for someone to teach in Yamanashi Prefecture.  The ideal candidate is knowledgable about Sioux City, has enthusaism in working with children (gradse 1-6), and has a strong command of proper English grammar and usage.  A commitment of two years is expected.   • UNI is offering a post-BA endorsement in early childhood education for teachers with an elementary education license. Classes will be delivered online and over ICN. Please visit www.uni.edu/continuinged/programs/career/geceep/cohort2008/index.shtml for more information and to register your interest in the program. Don't hesitate! Courses begin in June!

  • The University of South Dakota is hosting an advising session in Room D at Northwest Area Education Agency (1520 Morningside Ave) from 5 p.m to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30.  Please join us to learn more about USD's offerings in the area, to register for a class or to apply for admission.  No appointment is necessary; stop in anytime between 5 and 7.
  • The University of South Dakota will deliver some counseling courses to Sioux City and online! The Master of Arts in Counseling has specializations in School Counseling and Substance Abuse Counseling. These degrees are offered through a combination of online courses, on-campus courses in Vermillion and off-campus courses in Sioux City. Cohorts begin in summer 2008, so apply by early May if interested.  Contact me ASAP.

    http://www.mba.com/mba/TaketheGMAT. The nearest testing center is at Pearson Professional Centers at 4300 S. Lakeport, Suite 204, in Sioux City. Testing is also available in Sioux Falls and Omaha.
